I can't believe I just cured my motion sickness!

For the longest time, I never refrained from using my phone in a car because the moment the car started moving it would give me massive headaches.

Sometimes it's good to take a break, but a lot of times in long rides and during the commute I felt like I was really wasting time and not able to do simple things like check my email or read news articles, etc.

Then I saw these weird dots on one of my friend's screens and I asked him what it was. He said, "It's for motion sickness." I immediately turned it on, and ever since then, I can actually use my phone in the car and it has been a game changer.

I went to Apple's website to learn more about what they actually did. Here's what I found:

Research shows that motion sickness is commonly caused by a sensory conflict between what a person sees and what they feel, which can prevent some users from comfortably using iPhone or iPad while riding in a moving vehicle. With Vehicle Motion Cues, animated dots on the edges of the screen represent changes in vehicle motion to help reduce sensory conflict without interfering with the main content.

To be honest, those dots moving around the screen look pretty cool - they're non-intrusive and really well designed. I'm so happy that Apple and other tech companies put a focus on accessibility. Apple actually has hundreds of features that enable accessibility for people to use technology.

So, if you also struggle with motion sickness in the car like me and were initially unable to read or use your phone, I think you should turn this feature on and take back all that time that you might waste in the car or train.
