Some interesting features I saw

The Siri Glow 🌟 Your Apple products will now show an ethereal glow instead of that little crystal ball when you ask for Siri. This seems similar to the new airdrop animation which gives off a futuristic vibe

Chat with Siri 🗨 Apple finally realized that people don't want to be talking to Siri via voice, so now you can 'Chat to Siri'. A huge trend shifting from voice to text based AI communication

Genmojis 😊 This is the one I foresee taking off within Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Now you can create custom text emojis using GenAI and I am surprised no other platform thought of that yet. This is going to become second nature to everyone using iMessage and probably show up on a lot of memes. It's a great marketing tool for blue bubble texting. The cucumber eyes example sent me 😂 I want it asap.

Personal Context 🧠 AI will contextualize your requests across all the native apps like Messages, Photos, Contacts, Calendar Mail etc, to give better results and allow you to multitask between these apps.

The Basics 📝 And of course there is the basic text modification stuff as well. You can now summarize, proofread, and rewrite your emails based using AI. I also foresee this being integrated into other Apple Apps like Preview, Pages, Keynote etc

Apple usually takes their time releasing new technologies because

  1. They always focus on ecosystem wide integration. This means these features would be available and accessible across iPhones, Macbooks, iPads, Watch and even Vision Pro. This takes a lot of time and collaboration among teams.

  2. It's free. This means they have no urgency to release it earlier for monetization.

  3. Privacy and security is the foundation of everything at Apple. It's likely that you are more comfortable giving Apple access to all your data because of their reputation in keeping it secure and will not use it to train their models. So they need to build additional systems to guarantee it.

So now all the big techs have entered the GenAI race. It's gonna get interesting. 🤔
