As someone in working with software engineers on a daily basis, this post taught me a lot, so I am sure it has some great advice for those working directly in this role.
From a PM perspective, here were some of the things that I found super interesting
The best code is no code, or code you don’t have to maintain Many people forget that less is more.
Nobody asks “why” enough Ask your PM, Designer, Managers Why. Get as much context before you spend your time building something.
People don’t really want innovation People talk about innovation a whole lot, but what they are usually looking for is cheap wins and novelty. This one is a harsh reality.
Software engineers should write regularly Actually everyone should just write often. Blogs, journals, documentation. It keeps you sharp, effectively communicate, and reflect.
