This post is for the Emoneeds care team.

The ones who traveled across UP, ran 13 workshops in government polytechnics, stayed hours after sessions ended, and made 750+ therapy conversations happen in places where mental health support had never existed.

Phase 1 of Project Saathi with DOVE and NTPC is complete.

Over the last 5 months, our team traveled across Uttar Pradesh - Mathura, Ayodhya, Agra, Gorakhpur, Saharanpur, Ballia, Aligarh and more - running mental health workshops in government polytechnics, colleges, and community spaces.

The numbers:

780 therapy sessions 550 assessments 220 recovery plans 13 on-ground workshops 6 webinars

But here's what the numbers don't tell you.

Each of those 780 sessions was a person, a story, sitting across from our team - often for the first time in their life - and saying "I'm not okay."

Underserved students in developing cities who had never met a therapist, let alone be able to label their emotions or what they are going through. Experiencing a safe space to share their traumas and struggles.

And this was done by a small but relentless clinical team that traveled to places where mental health support has simply never existed. They ran workshops, stayed back for hours doing 1-on-1 sessions, followed up with students who needed continued care, and somehow made therapy feel approachable in rooms where the concept was brand new.

Phase 1 is done. Phase 2 starts now - and we need to reach 3,500 people before we're done.

To the Emoneeds team - this is what it looks like when you take mental health where it's never been before. Proud of every single one.
