How would teleportation look like as a product?

Today, as part of a Product Manager training at Rakuten, we were asked to create a product map for moonshot projects.

Our team got 'Teleportation Gates', and we had 10 minutes to come up with a slide to describe what type of features it would have.

I personally found this activity really fun, because on a daily basis I am tackling very minute and detailed features and functions, so it was quite a change of pace to completely zoom out and imagine the future. It put us under pressure to come up with creative ideas.

Some of the features we imagined were

2 minute trip times
Connectivity to all major locations in the world
Powered by renewable energy sources
Upto 500kg could be transported (You could teleport with your car)
Subscriptions for business travelers (who might repeatedly travel between same locations)

It was also quite entertaining to consider potential security threats or health issues that could be caused by teleportation.

Maybe this is the kind of activity Elon Musk did, when he dreamed up SpaceX.
