Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

In the current state of how quickly music is released and becomes irrelevant, there is one band for me that has stood the test of time for over 10+ years. ⁣

Red Hot Chilli Peppers. ⁣ The base of the band is formed by the bassist (haha geddit), Flea. He is one of the whackiest people you will ever see on a stage, but when it comes to playing the bass, he lays down some hard riffs. Rounded out by Chad Smith in the drums who compliments the bass perfectly forming a great rhythm section. The guitarist of RHCP has changed from Frusciante to Klinghoffer, and even though they brought their own styles into it, both had great funky licks, messed with effects and strum patterns to give a great musical background for Anthony Kiedes' vocals, funky rapping, and the most meaningless yet interesting lyrics for their songs. ⁣ ⁣ A lot of their songs for me is about nostalgia because when I started playing the guitar, me band and I had initially bonded over RHCP songs and used to jam them out ALL THE TIME. So recently when I put on their album Stadium Arcadium, and gave it a closer listen from a musical point of view, I was just left astounded at their composition and arrangements from a technical point of view as well.⁣ ⁣ RHCP are pure funk inside and out. They are certified legends of the industry and some of the best live performers I have ever seen.They used to be known to perform completely naked with socks on their genitals during their earlier performer times. Now if that isn't funk then what is. I was lucky enough to be able to see them twice.
